POLISH–UKRAINIAN ICON-PAINTING OPEN-AIR WORKSHOPS
About the project
Together with icon painter Mateusz Środoń and the Dobry Grunt Foundation, we organize Polish–Ukrainian icon-painting open-air workshops.
Inspired by the Teologia Polityczna project for the renewal of sacred art, the artists explore successive themes of the Mysteries of the Holy Rosary. These workshops are a wonderful opportunity for conversation and for exchanging inspiration and experience between Polish and Ukrainian creators of sacred art. They are also a place for mutual acquaintance and for building a shared space of prayer for Christians of the Eastern and Western Traditions.
After the workshops, the artworks are exhibited and subsequently auctioned at charity events, with the proceeds dedicated to respite camps for the children of fallen Ukrainian soldiers.
